Run from repo root:

```bash
python scripts/launch.py --dev
python scripts/launch.py --build-only
```

Compatibility:
- Prefers a local Node 18+ runtime
- Falls back to Docker if local Node is too old
- Writes `out/.build-stamp.json` to avoid rebuilding unchanged sources
